Zupee Points System — Batting, Bowling, Fielding & Multipliers

The complete Zupee fantasy cricket points system — every event, every bonus, every multiplier — laid out as a reading-first reference.

The Zupee points system is the operator scoring rubric for fantasy cricket. Every batting, bowling and fielding event is worth a specific number of points; captain and vice-captain multiply those points. This page is the consolidated reference.

How the points system works

Every ball produces events. Each event is worth a number of points. The total is multiplied by 2 for the captain and by 1.5 for the vice-captain. Substituted players are scored at half rate, per the operator rules.

Captain choice swings the team total

A good captain pick in a 200-run partnership can swing the team total by 100+ points. Always pick with form and pitch in mind.

Format-specific bonuses

T20, ODI and Test formats carry different bonus shapes. T20 emphasises strike rate and economy. ODI rewards milestones. Test rewards longer-format discipline — wickets and batting time. Read the format-specific rules before each match.

Reading the points table as a working captain

Three habits the desk has internalised. First, treat the captain multiplier as the single biggest lever. Second, treat strike-rate bonuses as the swing factor in T20 formats. Third, treat economy-rate bonuses as the swing factor in ODI formats.

Two things the desk treats as anchor facts. First, the captain multiplier applies to the player final score at the end of the match, not per-ball. Second, the operator published points table is the source of truth on the day you read.

Common reader questions about the points system

Three recurring ones. First, "how many points per run?" One point per run, baseline. Second, "what is the captain multiplier?" Two points (2x) on the player final score; the vice-captain is 1.5x. Third, "do strike-rate bonuses depend on format?" Yes.

What to verify before you trust this guide

Two checks. First, the operator published points table on the help section. Second, the format you picked.

What the desk does not publish

Three things. First, exact points values per row; verify on the operator page. Second, opponent-specific bonuses. Third, format-specific edge cases that change between refresh cycles.

Common points pitfalls

Three pitfalls the desk sees most often. First, assuming the captain multiplier applies per-ball. Second, ignoring strike-rate bonuses. Third, reading the table at season start and assuming nothing changes through the season.

Daily reading practice

Three habits the desk has internalised for daily reading practice. First, read the operator page on every refresh cycle. Second, log any change you notice in points values or eligibility lists. Third, treat the points table as a moving reference.

Why the points table moves the captain pick

The points table is the canonical signal of the role-level multiplier. The role-level multiplier is the lever that moves the contest's expected value more than any team-level choice. The reader's habit is to read the points table before the team selection, and to lock the captain on the role that carries the multiplier. The captain and vice-captain guide covers the lock-in detail, and the fantasy cricket guide covers the team-level choice.

The role-level multiplier is the reason the bowler and the wicket-keeper are the most under-leveraged roles in the first-team selection. The reader's habit is to read the role-level multiplier on the points table, and to plan the captain pick around the multiplier. The points system is the canonical signal of the role-level multiplier.

The bonus thresholds — strike rate and economy rate

The bonus thresholds are the strike-rate and economy-rate bonus lines. The strike-rate bonus is awarded to batters who score above the threshold on a minimum-ball count. The economy-rate bonus is awarded to bowlers who concede below the threshold on a minimum-over count. The reader's habit is to read the bonus thresholds before the team selection, and to plan the captain pick around the bonus thresholds. The team-selection tips cover the seven common mistakes that drop the reader's first team into the bottom half.

The bonus thresholds are the reason the all-rounder is the most under-leveraged role in the first-team selection. The reader's habit is to read the bonus thresholds on the points table, and to plan the captain pick around the bonus thresholds. The points system is the canonical signal of the bonus thresholds.

The penalties — what subtracts, and what to avoid

The penalties are the duck-out, the wicket-keeping catch miss, the stumping miss, the run-out miss, the wide and no-ball over-concession, and the slow-over-rate penalty. The reader's habit is to read the penalties before the team selection, and to plan the captain pick around the penalties. The fantasy cricket guide covers the team-level choice, and the captain and vice-captain guide covers the lock-in detail.
